All About Our School

Beryl Heights Elementary is a K–5 member of the Redondo Beach Unified School District in Southern California. We have over 450 students and one of the top faculties in the nation.

The school was opened on September 7, 1925. There was a reservoir on the campus and two of its walls remain today. They are painted multiple colors and are visible around the school's blacktop playground.

The school served children K through 8th grade in a three floor state-of-the-art building complete with a cafeteria in the basement. That three story building remained until the 1950s when it was demolished due to damage sustained in the 1933 earthquake along with subsequent damage from a fire.
It was replaced in 1956 with the current buildings.
