ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee)

The English Learner Advisory Committee provides an integrated school – staff – parent – community group to help ensure that the District’s Program for English Learners is well planned, effectively implemented, and ultimately successful in achieving its goals for English learners. The advisory committee provides a meaningful opportunity for parents of English learners to gather and share information, as well as to communicate their needs and advice to the School Site Council, the principal, school staff, and the broader community. The ELAC is a legally mandated committee for which schools and the district are held accountable through Categorical Program Monitoring.
