First Day of School: August 31st

Third Grade

Ms. Marshall – Room 13

Ms. Marshall teaches third grade. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.A. She Received her Master’s in education from Pepperdine University.

Ms. Marshall enjoys watching her sister, Kim, play club soccer, club volleyball, and soccer and volleyball for her high school.

She is the oldest of four children. She has one brother and two sisters. Ms. Marshall enjoys reading, traveling, going to the river, watching the Angels, going to Disneyland, and spending time with her friends and family.

Mrs. Shy – Room 14

Mrs. Shy grew up in New York and New Jersey. She attended Cal State University, Long Beach and has been at Beryl since 1993. Outside of school,

Mrs. Shy enjoys traveling, running, tennis, and especially being with her husband and two daughters.

Mrs. Millinder – Room 8

Mrs. Millinder has been tasked this year with teaching a 2nd and 3rd Grade combination class. She is serving as a long-term substitute for Mrs. Pyo for the 2009-10 school year.

Mrs. Millinder was raised in Torrance where she currently lives with her husband, Jim, and two boys, Austin and Jacob. She has been a teacher for over 20 years with a short two-year break to start a small business.

Mrs. Millinder graduated from Long Beach State Univ. with a B.of A. in Human Development. She taught in LAUSD for 14 years and is happy to be part of the RBUSD. Mrs. Millinder taught at Tulita for 5 years before leaving to start her business. She is happy to be back in the classroom here at Beryl.

Mrs. Millinder's hobbies include golf, tennis, scrapbooking, walking her dog at the beach and traveling. She loves the beach and always feels fortunate to live close enough to visit everyday. Mrs. Millinder collects heart shaped rocks and seashells. She wishes everyone a successful school year!
