First Day of School: August 31st

First Grade

Ms. Eun – Room 1

Ms. Eun was born in Seoul, So. Korea. She went to the Univ. of Calif. at Los Angeles. She has been working as a teacher for over eight years in first, second and third grades.

She loves to roller blade, cook, dance, watch movies and most of all laugh. She likes teaching first grade the best. She also loves sweets and donuts.

 

 

 

 


 

Mrs. Winter – Room 2

Mrs. Winter loves teaching 1st grade! She feels very lucky to have a job and work with families that she loves!

She grew up locally in Torrance and graduated from West High School. She attended the Cal State Univ. of San Bernardino for her undergraduate degree and Claremont Graduate School for her Professional Clear Credential and Master’s in Education.

Mrs. Winter was Ms. Mathieson for her first four years at Beryl. On August 9, 2008 she married and became Mrs. Winter. She is now happily married and living with her husband Brent in Redondo Beach. In her free time, she enjoys playing at the river with her family, jogging and taking her 14 year old dog Lucy for walks.

Ms. Garnello

While Mrs. Winter is on maternity leave this Fall 2009, Ms. Garnello substitutes for the Room 2 1st Graders.

Ms. Garnello is so grateful to be working at Beryl Heights Elementary School as Christina Winter's long term substitute! She has been teaching for almost seven years now. She has known since third grade that she wanted to become a school teacher.

Ms. Garnello received her teaching credential at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She then went on to California State University to continue her graduate studies. In her spare time she likes to teach and practice yoga. She also likes to read books and take long walks. 


Ms. Conant – Room 7

Ms. Conant teaches first grade. She grew up in Sacramento and Elk Grove. She graduated from the Univ. of Calif. at Los Angeles and received her Master’s degree from the Univ. of San Francisco.

She enjoys running, music, adventures and traveling. She likes to read Anything!!!
