PTA Donation Drives

PTA “Non-Fundraiser” Donation Drive

Dear Beryl Families,

Six weeks ago, the PTA kicked off the Flat Fee Donation Drive.  So far your generous donations have raised $5100.00 of our $9000.00 goal. THANK YOU to those who have already donated.

We’re off to a great start, but we still have a long way to go. Many of you already know how the PTA helps the school, but perhaps you don’t realize how much these services cost.

How does your donation help the PTA?

  • Classroom Enrichment - $8600.00 – This is money that goes directly to each classroom to be used by the teachers for classroom enrichment activities.
  • Field Trips - $5000.00 – All entry fees and travel expenses are completely paid for by your PTA.
  • Hands on Art - $3000.00 – Art Education brought to each classroom by PTA and Southbay Hands on Art.
  • Cultural Assemblies - $1500.00
  • Talent Show and Winter/Spring Music Programs - $1500.00
  • Plus many other services and programs

This year Beryl PTA wanted to spare families the burden of “traditional” fundraisers. We are asking for $50.00 a student, but any amount is greatly appreciated. Please make checks payable to Beryl Heights PTA and return to your child’s teacher or the office. Now you can even donate online through PayPal! Just follow the link in the PTA section of the Beryl Heights website. Your donations are tax deductible and 100% goes directly to your PTA.

What happens if the “Non-Fundraiser” fails?

If we fall short of our goal, PTA will have to resort to “canned” fundraisers (catalog, magazine or gift wrap sales) OR cut services from our budget.

Please help us keep the focus on our students. Donate to the Beryl Heights PTA!!!!!

Thank you!

Rhonda McGonigle
Beryl Heights PTA President

Fall Flat Donation Drive

This fall your PTA would like to repeat the success of last year's Flat Fee Donation Drive. With your generous donations, the PTA hopes to once again achieve the funding necessary to support our great programs. Most importantly, 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes straight to work supporting these programs. Your money stays right where you intend it to go – back to your student.

If you would like to support your child's enrichment programs this year, please put your donation in the envelope brought home to you September 17th. Return it to the front office or your child's teacher as soon as possible. Checks should be made payable to Beryl Heights PTA. The suggested donation is $50.00 per student (only 28¢ a day) however any amount would be greatly appreciated.

Our goal this fall is to raise $9,000.00 to fund our programs. If we don't reach our goal then we will have to hold an additional fall fundraiser.

On behalf of the Beryl Heights PTA Board, we extend a huge Thank You to all of our families for your support in the past and in the future.

Rhonda McGonigle
Beryl PTA President 2009-2010
